Rio Yachts builds Italian motorboats and yachts ranging from open day boats to coupé and sport-cruiser models. The brand is associated with Lake Iseo craftsmanship and a long progression from wooden runabouts to composite yachts.
History and ownership. The Scarani family founded the business in 1961. Rio produced hundreds of mahogany boats during its early years and remains a family-associated Italian marque with an international dealer presence.
Production and equipment. The yard manages design, composite construction, joinery, upholstery and assembly. Engines, drives, electronics, glazing and onboard appliances are integrated from specialist suppliers.
