Aquador 28 HT

Aquador is a Finnish cabin-cruiser marque recognised for Scandinavian layouts, protected helm stations and practical use in changing northern weather. The range covers compact weekend boats, wheelhouse cruisers and larger models that combine efficient passage-making with sociable interior and cockpit spaces. Each model can differ substantially in accommodation and equipment, so an individual boat’s year and specification remain important.

History and ownership. The first Aquador was presented in 1995 after sketches by Sakari Mattila were developed with Raimo Sonninen of Bella Boats and designer Rolf Eliasson. Early moulds were made in Sweden and the first boats were built in Turku, Finland. Production moved temporarily to Ireland in 1998, then returned to Finland in 2000 when Aquador was sold to Bella Boats. The brand has since continued as part of the Finnish Bella boat group.

Production and equipment. Aquador states that its boats are manufactured in Finland using CAD and CNC technology together with advanced composites and Scandinavian craftsmanship. Hull construction, interior work and final assembly are coordinated through Finnish production facilities, while engines, drives, navigation equipment, upholstery and domestic systems come from specialist suppliers. Equipment lists and technical details therefore need to be checked against the advertised boat rather than inferred from the model name alone.
