Hanse is a German sailing-yacht brand associated with modern hull forms, uncluttered deck layouts and short-handed sailing solutions. Its model range covers family cruisers and larger performance-oriented cruising yachts.
Many Hanse yachts offer several interior and equipment configurations. Buyers should compare the listing with the builder plate, original documentation and an independent survey where appropriate.
History and ownership. The modern Hanse yard was established in Greifswald, Germany, in 1990. It became the foundation of HanseYachts AG, a publicly traded group whose portfolio has included several sailing and motor-yacht brands.
Production and equipment. Design and series production are coordinated within the group, with hull work, assembly and interior manufacture forming core yard activities. Rigs, engines, electronics and many systems are sourced from specialist marine manufacturers.
