About Jeanneau
Jeanneau is a French boatbuilder whose history began in 1957. The yard produces sailing yachts and motorboats designed for a broad range of uses, from coastal trips and family cruising to performance sailing and offshore passages.
Its best-known ranges include Sun Odyssey and Sun Fast sailing yachts together with Cap Camarat, Merry Fisher and NC motorboats. Equipment, layouts and construction methods have evolved across generations, so the details of the individual listing remain decisive.
History and ownership. Henri Jeanneau began building boats in Les Herbiers in 1957, and the yard adopted fibreglass construction early in its history. Jeanneau joined Groupe Beneteau in 1995 and remains a distinct brand within the group, supported by a broad international dealer network.
Production and equipment. Hull production, assembly, joinery and quality control are central parts of the yard’s manufacturing work, while engines, electronics, sails and many technical systems are supplied by established marine specialists.
