Om Bandholm
Originalbeskrivelse på Engelsk
Bandholm is a Danish sailing-yacht name associated with compact and medium-sized family cruisers. The boats were designed for manageable handling and useful accommodation, and many continue to cruise Scandinavian waters.
History and ownership. The marque belongs to an important period in Danish production boatbuilding when fibreglass made cruising yachts accessible to more families. Different Bandholm designs came from several designers and production periods.
Production and equipment. Composite hull and deck construction was combined with fitted interiors and equipment from specialist suppliers. Engines, rigs, sails and navigation equipment on surviving boats often differ greatly from their original specification.
