Dehler is a German sailing-yacht marque known for performance cruisers that combine lively sailing characteristics with practical family accommodation. The range has included fast club-racing designs, comfortable cruising yachts and deck layouts intended to be handled by a small crew. Design details, keel options and equipment differ across the many generations of Dehler boats.
History and ownership. The company was founded in 1963 by Willi and Karl Dehler in Freienohl, Germany. Dehler became associated with innovative production yachts and developed a strong reputation in both cruising and racing. The brand is now part of HanseYachts AG, linking it with one of Europe’s larger sailing-yacht groups while retaining its own model identity.
Production and equipment. Dehler boats are developed within the HanseYachts group and built using modern composite construction, moulding, joinery and systems installation. The yard coordinates hull and deck production, interior fit-out and final assembly, while engines, spars, sails, winches, electronics and other equipment come from specialist marine suppliers. Older examples can therefore differ widely in specification and should be assessed by build year and refit history.
