Sea-Doo produces personal watercraft and related recreational products, from compact entry models to touring, fishing and high-performance craft. The brand is one of the world’s most recognised names in the personal-watercraft market.
History and ownership. The first Sea-Doo watercraft appeared in the late 1960s, and the modern product line was relaunched by Bombardier in 1988. Sea-Doo is now a brand of Canadian powersports company BRP, which also owns several vehicle and marine brands.
Production and equipment. BRP develops the hull, Rotax engine, jet pump, electronics and control systems as an integrated craft. Features and accessory packages vary significantly by model and production year.
