Najad is a Swedish sailing-yacht marque associated with centre-cockpit cruising yachts, sheltered helm positions and interiors intended for longer passages. Earlier and current generations cover different designers and construction methods.
History and ownership. The brand was founded on the Swedish island of Orust in 1971. After several ownership changes, Najad became connected with Orust Quality Yachts, preserving the marque’s Scandinavian cruising focus.
Production and equipment. Design, composite work, interior joinery, systems installation and final completion use Swedish and Baltic boatbuilding resources. Engines, rigs, sails, electronics and deck equipment come from specialist manufacturers.
